President Trump is repealing a controversial executive order drafted by former President Obama that was meant to protect the Great Lakes and the oceans bordering the United States.
I don’t think anybody is surprised by this shit. Yeah, POTUS45 is a giant piece of shit, awful human being but it’s par for the course.
I think a big take-away that the next Democrat/Progressive/Liberal President is that they can’t rule by executive order. You have to work with Congress to get shit done and pass laws because otherwise the asshole coming after can just undo all the shit (good or otherwise) you’ve done.
Even if the Congress is a Republican one and their only concern is obstruction, you still have to try to work with them and publicize the shit out of the fact that they’re being obstructionists.
President Donald Trump issued a statement canceling the trip, citing the national anthem as the reason.“The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow,” the statement reads. “They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our country. The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better. These fans are still invited to the White House to be part of a different type of ceremony — one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem. I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus to celebrate America.”
You know what honors our great country and the men and women who have died fighting it’s wars? People exercising the rights that those soldiers actually died for; freedom. They didn’t die for a flag or an anthem.

Mr. Trump’s lawyers fear that if he answers questions, either voluntarily or in front of a grand jury, he risks exposing himself to accusations of lying to investigators, a potential crime or impeachable offense.
Hahaha yeah no shit! Blabbermouth Don lies so much I’m not sure he knows when he’s doing it. If they get him talking while sworn in, it’s inevitable he’ll purger himself.
Witch Hunt Hoax?!? Oh come on Blabbermouth Don… I feel like we can improve on that! How about Lying-Hillary-Is-At-Fault-Fake-Witch-Hunt-Hoax??
I’m honestly trying to understand how this is the same as Barr calling Valerie Jarrett an ape. “Moderate” conservatives seem to think it’s the same though and it’s because the liberal, MSM bias!
I wonder if conservative even know of the weird way that Trump was talking about his daughter (I’d date her!) or how he was seen with his hand on her hip and such… I dunno, probably just awkward TV stuff but uuuugh. That’s the reference Bee is making. She’s not telling Ivanka to do that completely in a vacuum.
Edited to add:
The Trump administration on Thursday slapped tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, Mexico and the European Union, firing the first shot in a trade war that could see American consumers pay more for everything from canned soup to cars.
I’m curious but do conservatives support this? What’s the point? Is this a thing were he’s imposing tariffs then he’ll rescind them in order to renegotiate things? Dumb.
The good thing about this is that the next president can just undo it all. /sigh
What he didn’t say is just as notable. He didn’t say anything critical of Roseanne Barr’s racist and conspiratorial tweets — the comments that got her fired on Tuesday.Instead, he tweeted this on Wednesday: “Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ‘ABC does not tolerate comments like those’ made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?”
Wow. President Trump is one of the most vain, self centered people I know of. I dunno… maybe there is some media bias or maybe POTUS45 is just a horrible human?
But in terms of the Russia investigation, he’s embarked pretty clearly on an effort to make everything Mueller does out to be about politics rather than justice, and in doing so, he’s winning the argument.
This is annoying the tee total hell out of me! He’s engaging in an active campaign of misinformation is it looks to be an effective strategy!! Uuuughhh
What is wrong with our country that this simple tactic is so effective? They just don’t care. They just bold face lie and it doesn’t even matter.
And in the Oval Office, there is President Trump, who is prone to erupt about his communications team as ineffective and leak-ridden, complaining he has the biggest team and yet he gets “the worst press.”
I think this says a lot about Blabber Mouth Don. All he has to do to get good press is hire the best and biggest team… as opposed to not being a horrible human being.
But in recent months, Mr. Trump, who has never been convinced that his aides have his best interests at heart, has felt increasingly aggrieved. He blames his staff for not delivering better headlines on key initiatives, like tax cuts or a diplomatic breakthrough with North Korea. And he sees leaks as a cause of the distractions that have helped deprive him of those headlines, according to interviews with several current and former White House officials, all who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to describe internal discussions.

Ronny Gal, a securities analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Company, said the president’s speech was “very, very positive to pharma,” and he added, “We have not seen anything about that speech which should concern investors” in the pharmaceutical industry.
I believe there’s something to be said here about where the President’s loyalty lies. Is he a friend of big business, who will make sure not to interfere with big business or is he looking out for consumers?
Pretty obvious to me, he’ll be an ally of big business and while trying to sell us on the idea that he’s looking out for the consumer.
